About Wireless Security Systems
By:TheAdmin
Most of the installation of home security systems in the past must be performed by professional installator., because of all the wires that had to be run through the walls and floors of the house. So the cost of the security system itself was only part of the total expense, and when adding both the cost of the system itself and the installation together, it could get very expensive. This prohibited many homeowners from installing the kind of home security system that they really wanted.
But wireless technology has dramatically change all of that . Wireless security systems do not require wiring throughout the house but send messages through radio signals to a central panel. In the beginning, wireless security systems proved to be slightly unreliable as compared to wired systems. However, with more and more R & D, there seem to be no more dissatisfaction. Wireless security systems are very convenient to install as there is no need for wiring. This saves time, money and chaos of ripping floors and walls to place wires all over the house.
Wireless security systems use essentially the same components as do wired systems. The touch pad, control panel, cameras, sensors, motion detectors, and alarm sirens are all standard equipment in both wired and wireless security systems. Wireless systems rely on radio frequencies to transmit the signals that are generated by the door contacts, window contacts, and vibration and motion activated sensors back to the master control panel. Touch pads at entrances enable activation and deactivation of the wireless system whenever needed. In case of power failure, a backup system comes into action thus providing continuous security.
So, compared to wired systems, home wireless security systems offer much easier installation. You need not worry about an electrical power source nor a way of wiring to the master control panel, nor do you have to tear up your walls or floors to run wiring for the system. You do have to replace the batteries periodically in wireless home security systems, which is not necessary in a hard-wired system.
