I am perplexed (especially since I am frustrated by the newest technology). I am attempting to build a device for my classroom that allows me to push a button on a remote and produce one of several songs or sounds (to signal time for clean-up, time to quiet down, time to start work, time for a break, etc.). One other teacher suggested an MP3 or MP4 player. I would not mind this method, but I don’t want to run back to plug the device into a docking station or a plug to start the sound. I would like the flexibility to start the sound file from anywhere in the classroom. Some others have suggested wireless speakers, but I don’t know if this would work without docking the MP3 player. So … you can now see how disfunctional I have become. Can you suggest a solution with an MP3 or MP4 player? The idea is to push a button on the MP3 or MP4 that sends the sound to a system that receives it without any plug or dock, and transmits it over the speakers.

    Thanks,
    C. Dibble
