Placements of the 5.1 speakers are not instantly. Need experience and more time to raise the best performance of listening sound. First positioning your speakers, you can place it experimentally. But, remember to place it as high as your sitting position. The speaker position can setup geometrically so the sound distribution spread evenly or centered to your sitting position. You can setup the distance between speakers and also the angle. The speaker angle is facing to you not to your ceiling or your wall. That’s the basic placement of speakers.

Once you get the sound, you can move the speaker position to improve the sound quality, balancing or loudness.

Make sure your speaker wiring is correct. Check it again and connected to subwoofer, try to sound it and if you get the sound right, all of your systems are finally set.

The last one is try to connect your system with DVD player. The DVD is using digital coaxial or optical fibers. Choose one suitable for your system and connect it to your system. Select the input of the system for DVD (digital input) and then play your DVD. If there is no problem, you will hear the sound. But if there is any problem, check it again according to the manual.
